Immunology and inflammation

The Cimi immunology teams are each specialized in one or two immune cell types involved in adaptive or innate immunity. The research is performed at the molecular and cellular levels but also using animal models and studying clinical situations. Major questions, including immune homing, fate, differentiation and survival after infection or vaccination, are and will be addressed. The mechanisms of activation and regulation are also studied at the molecular and functional levels. The interactions of innate and adaptive immunity are also addressed

Several teams are internationally recognized as expert on T, Treg, DC and NK cells in various pathologies. The characterization of monocyte/macrophage function in inflammatory diseases and their response to chemokines also represents a major topic looked over by the Cimi.
